We ran a story on the Hamann Edition Race M5 in our February 2007 ish. So it was only a matter of time before Hamann molested the M6 in a similar fashion. By goosing an extra 60 bhp and 40 lb-ft of torque from the stock 500 bhp and 383 lb-ft 5.0-liter V10 and ditching the electronic speed limiter, the M6 Edition Race now hits a top speed of 199 mph. It's all done with high-performance headers, ECU tweaks and new exhaust bits, while the lowered suspension, choice of wheels, and obligatory aero aids (giving the car a DTM-like appearance) are also in evidence. Inattentive pedestrians will be glad to learn of the uprated brakesystem, even if they don't care about all the interior modifications available.
