Top German tuning house Abt Sportsline has gone gloriously crazy with two top German cars. The Audi R8 V10 becomes the Abt R8 GT R by way of losing 220 pounds, gaining 95 hp (now 620 hp), and losing seven tenths in the sprint to 60 mph (Abt claims 3.2 seconds). It also has ceramic brakes, carbon fiber parts, 19-inch Abt Superlight wheels, a sport exhaust system, adjustable suspension, and a new top speed of 201 mph. Only 25 examples will be made. So anyone missing out there might be consoled by Abt's R8 Spyder, which still has 600 hp (up from 525), a zero-to-60 mph time of 3.8 seconds, and a top speed of 199 mph, in addition to various carbon fiber goodies, an upgraded suspension, and striking lightweight alloy wheels.
