Audi sales in the United States have reached a new high: 2,000,000. It happened in late June 2010, when a customer in southern California bought an A3 TDI. And a first-time Audi buyer, no less. Welcome to the fold, whoever you are. What swayed you? The fact that it is the 2010 Green Car of the year, or that the A3 TDI is a kick-ass compact car with a luxurious edge that accounts for 56 percent of all A3 sales? Perhaps the whole shebang. This milestone has been reached after 40 years in the American market. Since the first half of 2010 was a bumper one for Audi, though, it should take a lot less time to reach 3,000,000. Please help the cause by buying an R8; we never get tired of seeing those around.
