Like a bag of Skittles, they came in all different colors and tastes - R35 for racing, for show, for both, from widened and flared and rocking copious aero to some that looked like they had no mods at all. Regardless of what they were built to do, however, we loved nearly every Nissan GT-R we came across at the 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas last week.
The AWD brute can be an intimidating sight to those competing against it, and we saw a handful ready to put the rubber to the road in the Optima Battery Ultimate Street Car Invitational. We wouldn't be surprised to see the Evasive-built GT-R in the Mackin booth at Super Lap Battle in a few days, but from the motorsports R35 set we were most excited to see 2012 Formula D champ Daigo Saito's Achilles Tire-backed ride for the 2015 season, which was revealed at the show.
And then there were the hard parkers, the Rocket Bunny-ed, Liberty Walk-ed, big fendered crowd that split spectators; you either loved them or hated them. We happened to dig 'em - like a girl with curves, they offer a plethora of interesting, sexy angles. Get into our quick little R35 GT-R gallery from the 2014 SEMA Show to witness the breadth of styles featured on Nissan's halo car.
