When you think of automotive trade shows, SEMA is undoubtedly the first one to come to mind. However, if you're anything like us, you could probably do without a large chunk of the Vegas mega-show that doesn't have anything to do with performance, racing, or both. That's the beauty of PRI.
The Performance Racing Industry trade show caters specifically to the racing community, which means you get a high concentration of the stuff you love, without the no-name neon license plate frames and other random bits you shuffle past during SEMA week. Purchased by SEMA in 2012, PRI has continued to grow and attract more aftermarket brands that see real value in putting their efforts toward a concentrated group of buyers and marketers within their end of the spectrum.
Much like SEMA, there's so much to see and only three days to see it all, so we gathered a few images and info on some of the products that really stood out to us at the 30th annual PRI event.
4 PISTON RACING
Some of the fastest Hondas on the face of the earth rely on 4 Piston cylinder heads, and they brought out all of the goodies for PRI 2017. For the all-motor fans, this 4 Piston Super99 K-series head was fitted with a Kinsler ITB kit and an always-effective Myers Competition header.
From the dark side is this 4 Piston KT1000 K24 setup that still retains its 2.4L status but is fitted with Ramey Racing/L.A. Sleeve ductile iron sleeves, Wiseco Extreme Duty flat top pistons, BoostLine rods, 4 Piston Pro TSX CNC head and cams, Kinsler intake manifold, and a nicely sized Precision 7285 bolted to a Speedfactory manifold. The result is a street monster that, at around 50psi, will produce upwards of 1,200hp.
The B-series loyal will no doubt love this Ramey Built B18C complete with a Sheepey Built turbo manifold mated to the 4Piston cylinder head that packs a 1,400hp punch - enough to help muster 7-sec passes for the Ramey crew.

Garrett proudly displayed their GTX3076R GEN II in both standard and now reverse rotation options. Due to a pretty significant compressor wheel aero update, these new units reportedly produce 20 percent more power than their predecessors.
Garrett intercoolers have been used for cooling high performance and specialty vehicles for years. And even if you're not Roush, Saleen, AMG, or any of the numerous others they've worked with, their intercooler line up and cores are available to you as well.

For years now the name Hondata has been associated with all things Honda, from simple street cars with minor upgrades, to more sophisticated setups involving an engine swap, power adders, or both. Currently, you'll see quite a bit about their products surrounding the 10th generation Civic.
One of the first to jump on the 10th gen aftermarket, Hondata developed a version of their wildly popular FlashPro system that, just like previous models, is as simple as plugging into your car's OBD II port and making adjustments via laptop. For the street car crowd, a C.A.R.B. legal version was introduced and offers significant gains while still keeping you on the right side of the law.
Hondata's S300 and K-Pro options have long served as staples in the Honda enthusiast community. From street cars to full-blown competitive track cars, the reliability and user-friendly interface, not to mention highly competitive pricing, keeps fans coming back for more.
