On December 2, 2000, Stillen opened its doors to the public and invited owners of Toyota power to bring their rides and display them in the parking lot. The turn-out was impressive-there were a gangload of Supras, as one would expect, a few new Celica GT-S coupes and a surprising number of spiffed-up Solaras.

The Solara/Camry camp was represented by the SouthernCalifornia-based club, Club SC3 and Camry Man's Passing Lane (, which is a Web forum/newsgroup.

The star of the show was also the star of an upcoming action/adventure movie about imports, Craig Lieberman's Supra. The Supra is a Lamborghini Orange, Bomex-bodied, Troy Lee-decorated, single-turbo JZA80. The movie had the working title "Redline," but was changed to "The Fast and the Furious" in late 2000. As this article goes to press, the wild Supra is on eBay with a starting bid of $40,000-ouch. There were a number of well-engineered Supras on display and Stillen's dyno was open for business. The biggest hitter rang the bell at 564.6 hp and 480.4 lbs-ft of torque at the wheels, quite impressive for a daily-driven vehicle.

The event included a barbeque. The attendance was good, considering it was organized in cyberspace with no flyers distributed and the event coincided with IDRC's season-ending race at Palmdale. Stillen plans to elaborate on this theme in 2001, with Stillen open houses slated to happen throughout the year.

HKS was on-hand with its tricked-out Celica GT-S.

Stillen displayed its Lexus IS300 with a sleek body kit, big brakes and Stillen-pec wheels

The scene-stealer at Stillen's Toyota Day was Craig Lieberman's JZA80. The Lamborghini orange, Bomex-bodied and Troy Lee decorated single-turbo JZA80 plays a major role in the upcoming movie "The Fast and the Furious."
