Mitsubishi Owner’s Day (MOD): An annual event for Mitsubishi owners to come together and revel in their marque’s glory hosted by Mitsubishi Motors of North America in Cypress, California. Both owners and enthusiasts alike came out in droves; an estimated 1,700 cars provided the eye candy in the forms of heavily modded to fully stock Evolutions, Outlanders, Eclipses and even rarities like Galant VR-4s.
Things-to-do and swag were provided in copious amounts. Thanks to the guys at Road Race Engineering located in Santa Fe Springs, CA attendees had the opportunity to dyno their vehicle using RRE’s AWD Dynapack. The In-N-Out mobile truck provided grub while 97.1 AMP radio kept the atmosphere pumping. Gale Webb’s Extreme Sports and Air Shows even erected a half pipe for BMX and skateboard team demonstrations.
The real draws of course were the many rows of built to factory clean collectibles that kept the judges and spectators busy.
Wrapping up the day’s events included the award ceremonies. Modified magazine caught up with one gearhead, among others competing in various contests as you’ll see in the interview below. One of them just had his Mitsubishi dyno tested. It was another great showing of Mitsubishi love and we’re already excited for next year!
