For over 15 years, TORC (Toyota Owner’s and Restorer’s Club)—better known as “Toyotafest”, has continued to set the precedent for Toyota owners of all generations and segmentations alike. This year’s show was no exception.
Chances are, if you’ve been residing on the West Coast, you’ve probably had the opportunity of attending this massive thoroughbred gathering in Long Beach, CA at least once in your life. For me, as an East Coaster and a newbie to Super Street, it was a first time experience, and yet, after a short stroll throughout the infamous Queen Mary, I quickly found myself pleasantly surprised with the offered content and began consistently reaching for my camera to capture the works of art delectably parked before my eyes. Half of the gathering consisted of nostalgic classics and rare JDM jewels; the other half provided a wide array of new-schooled VIP bangers, trucks and innovative concepts alike to graciously suit the needs of enthusiasts all across the board. This meet has definitely secured a spot as a “must attend” for years to come.—Matt Jones
