We all know Wekfest is one of those "must attend" events—they host shows all around the country just to make sure you can make it out to at least one in your lifetime. They're just that good. But Wekfest San Francis, errr "San Jose" had a turnout larger than I could have ever expected. First off, let me touch base on this "line." Now, I heard rumors of a beefy wait for general entry, but good LORD! With doors opening at 1pm, attendees began camping out in the convention center hallways around 6am to ensure first dibs on the show's glory—by noon, the hallways were packed from wall to wall with eager fans—and once doors opened, the venue was FLOODED.
But why not? As an enthusiast and a regular Wekfest attendee myself, I can honestly say that WFSJ offered a greater variety than I've ever seen at a juried car show. From fully built Hondas and hellaflushers to bangin' low riders and all-out Bimmers and exotics, it was all there for the gawking. Not to mention on the side, two separate DJ booths getting absolutely turnt up, a food truck serving San Ho's finest in the back and more import models than our online editor Jofel could stalk.
If you've never been to a Wekfest event, trust your editors and book a flight, plan a drive across the country or find a camel. It'll be worth it.
