If you're a Honda enthusiast and you haven't made your way over to the infamous Chronicles blog site, you're certainly one of the few. Created by HT contributor Joey Lee in 2008, the site mainly focuses on Honda content with event coverage, behind-the-scenes action, and even a few in-depth builds reserved exclusively for the site.
Outspoken and brutally honest, Lee rarely minces his words and instead tells it like it is. That reason, along with capturing some of the biggest events in the country and beyond, and his story-telling style has garnered interest far and wide and the site continues grow, hitting new milestones regularly.
To celebrate the site's 5th year, Eibach Springs in Corona, CA, played host to the Year V anniversary meet. Quiet was kept, as there was no major announcement made in order to keep attendance numbers controlled and maintain organization. In fact, unless you actually follow the site or one of the Chronicles social media outlets, you probably didn't hear much about it all—exactly what Lee wanted, as he spoke of holding an event strictly for those that support the site, rather than random passerby's looking for something to do.
Along with attendees that made the trip from various parts of California came travelers as far as Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Ohio, and even a few friends from Japan. Cars in attendance varied from clean streetcars, to high-level show builds, as well as a few aggressive track cars. The Eibach parking lot also included well-known vendors like Downstar Inc., Barramundi Wheels, and GoTuning/Spoon Sports.
With the success of last year's event being outshined by this year's stellar turnout, you can expect there will be another celebration in 2014. Keep tabs by logging onto the blog and help support a fellow enthusiast.
