Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I know how often it can rain. In Seattle, it averages more than 200 cloudy days a year, which makes it quite sketchy for organizers to host car shows and outdoor events. Even in the summer, you really don’t know what weather you’re going to get. But despite this probability of rain, places like Washington, Oregon and British Columbia pump out some of the hottest rides on the West Coast, as demonstrated at this year’s Offset Kings.
Offset Kings isn’t anything new—it’s simply a spin-off of Slammed Society and Hellaflush Showcase that Fatlace has put on for some time. Cars of all makes and models are invited, but the focus is more toward stance, lowriders, classics, VIPs and drift. But the show has gained so much attention thanks to its collaboration with Formula Drift that it simply brings out the sickest cars at whichever city it takes over. So during this year’s round five of Formula D at Evergeen Speedway, the clouds covered the sky but the rain held out long enough for us to highlight ten cars that caught our attention most.
