While we love L.A. living, we'll make any excuse to take a trip up to San Francisco, Calif., whether it be to enjoy the weather, stuff our faces with seafood, or enjoy a drink or many drinks in the company of friends - and no, we're not talking about drinks in those hipster coffee spots. This time we were in NorCal to visit our friends at Blox Racing for their second annual Evolution car show. The first one was surely a hit, and to no one's surprise the second show was even better. Situated in Pier 70, Evolution 2 was held in a warehouse that had a raw and underground atmosphere, without the ricey Fast and Furious vibe.
This year we partnered with Blox to make an Editor's Choice Award where the winner didn't necessarily get a physical trophy but will soon get an exclusive feature. The winner was none other than Rothsen Valdez with his daily driven Nissan Skyline R34 VSpec II. Another showstopper was Adam Mao's 2JZ Lexus GS300 built to go sideways. Stay tuned for his feature as well.
As they say in real estate, it's all about "location, location, location." Just by having it at a unique venue such as Pier 70, instead of a basic convention center, made all the difference. There isn't an event like Evolution in the California show circuit, and if Blox's next event is anything like Evo2, you can bet to find us there. Until then, enjoy the gallery of photos!
