About an hour north of San Francisco, Calif., Offset Kings (OK) held its first Bay Area event at Sonoma Raceway. It was also the first-ever OK event staged without Formula D (FD) as a partner; while FD prepared for its next round in Orlando, SpeedSF hosted a track day at Sonoma in conjunction with OK, offering sessions for advance, high intermediate, low intermediate, and novice drivers.
The old-school car genre was well represented, especially with Riley Stair's satin black Datsun 240Z. It sports ZG fender flares, Work Meister CR01 wheels and an aggressive custom wing mount that's been fixed to the cage. Under the hood is an LS6 from a 2002 Corvette boasting 430 wheel horsepower. Another old-school car that was breaking necks was Jose Paredes' with his Datsun 510 rolling on SSR Professor SP3s. Powering the 510 is a more modern SR20 red top with top shelf JDM parts such as Tomei, Nismo, and HKS.
Although it didn't have the same foot traffic you'd normally find at an Offset Kings show, it still showcased some of Bay Area's finest rides, with a pretty awesome racecar sound track in the background.
