By now you've probably already seen our coverage of the Super Street x Toyo Calendar launch in Southern California. But what you probably didn't know is that there were events held in Miami and Hawaii, too! Right before our huge Japan trip, I hopped on a plane and headed to the Sunshine State. The next morning I headed to Vossen HQ for a taste of the Miami, Fla. car scene.
Unlike the folks in California Miami enthusiasts, I'm told, aren't used to waking up early for car meets. Allegedly some people came straight from the club to our car meet, which sounds like something DuSpeed would do (True dat - Ed.) Despite the humidity, the Toyo gals were looking fly. From my short time there, I noticed the Lexus and BMW scene is huge. I did manage to stumble on an awesome Vertex-kitted Nissan Silvia S15 built by Alex Bauza. You can find his online feature in the next few days.
Thanks for all the love, Miami! Next time we'll be sure to host a meet at a time the locals are more accustomed to — like 3am. Bring beer and cubanos.
