As I reach the final stretch of freeway on my way to the Queen Mary Events Park in Long Beach, Calif., I'm flanked by a pair of tastefully modded NSXs, while the short, snappy bounce of headlights in my rearview mirror are mounted to a well-built fifth gen hatchback, all of which were undoubtedly on their way to Wek'fest LA.
Every time the Wek'fest staff opens up registration, regardless of which leg of the tour they're preparing for, they're inundated with Honda applicants vying for a chance to display – and the LA leg of the tour was no different. Older cars, like the classic CRX and NSX, were on hand right next to much newer 8th and 9th gen Civics. Like most import groups, the widebody and universal flare-look is hotter than ever, and it wasn't uncommon to see 10-inch wide (or wider) wheels bolted to FWD applications, some flirting with disaster in terms tire of safety due to stretch and camber choices. On the flip side, a number of clean, age defying builds that relied more on execution and details rather than shock value caught our attention.
Here's a rundown of the Hondas of Wek'fest LA 2016, and in case you missed it click here to view our Facebook Live stream from the show.

Regardless of which you might prefer, we can't get enough of these highly detailed, incredibly well-executed builds
