Since the first 86Fest in 2012, the show has noticeably grown in numbers and quality of builds. This year, the Motormavens crew celebrated 86Fest's five-year anniversary and returned to Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif. The event was seemingly cooler with the collaboration of Global Time Attack. Although there were tons of AE86s, Subaru BRZs, and other models, we wanted to highlight five of the coolest ZN6s that made it out this year.
ADVAN Toyota 86 14R60
Friends of 86Fest founder Antonio Alvendia brought in this limited-edition 86 from Japan, the 14R60. It just so happened to participate in this year's Pikes Peak race and since it was already in the States, the private racing team decided to bring it to the largest North American 86 gathering.
Pandem Scion FR-S
This is the latest and greatest from renowned aero maker Kei Miura. The guys at LTMW managed to put the car together in a few days. What do you guys think of the new kit?
Aimgain x Stancenation Scion FR-S
Known mostly for its VIP styling, AIMGAIN took another stab at the Scion FR-S and made more of a GT-styled body kit. This particular version had some sexy BBS wheels to go along with the new look.
N-Style Scion FR-S
Our good friend Dee Mendoza drove all the way from Northern California and brought his wife's Scion FR-S. If we're not mistaken, it's the only one in the states that is rocking N-Style Japan fenders.
Mackin Industries Scion FR-S
Parked dead center at the Turn 14 Distribution booth was Mackin Industries' badass Scion FR-S. It has a 3.4L stroked 2JZ, a Garrett GTX4292R turbo, Samsonas sequential transmission, and a Wisefab grip kit. You've probably seen race car driver Rob Walker and his razor close cliff-drop moment at this years Pikes Peak race.
