Toyo Tires x Super Street 2017 Calendar Launch NorCal

Bay Area car culture shines through stormy weather

Jan 27, 2017

Through the course of a few powerful storms this past January, California got the soakage it badly needed. Fortunately, it took a minor break during our Toyo Tires Calendar NorCal launch at Supreme Detailworks in the Bay Area. Flip through our February '17 issue and you'll notice that it's much thicker, as it includes our annual calendar with Toyo Tires featuring the beautiful new Toyo Tires squad, Rosalie Jackson, Corle Bunch, and Kyra Keli.

The fact that NorCal loves and supports its local car scene is nothing new to us. We heard the Cars and Coffee meet was allegedly cancelled due to rain, and so as a result parking spaces were only available a few blocks away. A wide variety of people and cars lined the streets. One thing we appreciate about the car heads in NorCal is they'll happily display what's under the hood, the way Nat did with his gangster Lexus LS460 or Lloyd Morales' stunning Nissan S14.

If we don't say it enough, thank you, everyone, for your support. Especially you Bay Area folks — we love you and your titanium testicles that allow you to burnout with a police station down the street. Next stop, Boden Autohaus in SoCal!

The VIP area of our SuperiLL meet was a good mix of ridiculously cool street cars, past Super Street feature vehicles, and a handful of '17 SEMA builds.

We were told ROW DTLA holds can hold about 5,000 cars, so to test that we decided to hold our Superill meet and pop-up store there and see if we could indeed max out the garage.

A handful of fast and equally beautiful cars that could look good at a car showand also dominate on the track.
