For a sixth year, the Euro Hangar car meet set up at Park Township Airport in beautiful Holland, Mich., to welcome all makes and models of European whips to the unique backdrop of an active airport. And for a third year, we've been lucky enough to have our Midwest shooter at large, Ryan Belville, trek out to the event and provide photo coverage for your eyes to consume.
The biggest news from this year's soiree was Volkswagen Group of America's involvement, the OEM assuming the title sponsorship role of Euro Hangar 2017. It brought out a corral of new and vintage VW - including the widebody GTI RS Concept - and was passing out swag all day. We hear people were digging the custom dog tags Volkswagen was handing out.
The show continues to pull in a wide variety of entries from all over North America, and more and more spectators, and this year seemed to feature an even greater eclectic mix of marques versus previous editions - from BMW, Porsche, and Audi to Lotus, Volvo, and others. As always, small aircraft were buzzing the meet pretty much all day, and to add to the fun organizers offered up skydiving to those attendees brave enough to take the plunge (pun completely intended).
