Auto Enthusiast Day 2017 Part 2

Checking in at Nitto Tires' annual car culture celebration

Aug 17, 2017

Don't think for one second that tires are all that Nitto is capable of. For years now the Nitto team has hosted its own full-fledged car show that they call Auto Enthusiast Day. The event takes the very best parts of the car scene and combines them all in one place to celebrate car culture as a whole. To give you a better idea, it's a car show, a car meet, a huge vendor village, and our favorite, a drifting exhibition. It gets even better, because if you don't care about being sunburnt, entrance to the show has always been free.

Nitto Tire Events and Motorsports Strategist Harry Kong says, "Things could not have gone better with this year's event, with the amount of people attending and vendors displaying we had some challenges on how to setup the show as efficiently as possible." This year they brought out the big guns and teamed up with Autocon to handle the show portion as well as providing the now famous car stage to highlight the best of Nitto's flagship vehicles. This is Nitto's 7th event and it managed to bring around 24,000 people to Angel Stadium. This year they also brought 7 pro drivers that included Vaughn Gittin Jr., Matt Powers, the Hubinettes, Alex Heilbrunn, Loren Healy, and Cody Currie.

There was a lot of excitement at every turn. Nitto is always looking to make the shows better, but if you ask us, they're already doing a pretty good job. Because the reality is, this event is designed for you, dedicated enthusiasts.
