Honda Tuning has often covered cars and events from Japan, Thailand, Philippines, and other regions well outside of the U.S., but we've yet to shed some light on our neighbors to the south in Mexico. A fairly short drive from San Diego, Calif., Rosarito offers some of the best views and oceanfront activity in the world. Aside from that, there's a thriving Honda community in that region that recently celebrated its seventh year of Revolution, a mega-meet of sorts spearheaded by BrothersJDM of Mexico that includes all makes and models but is unapologetically overshadowed by Honda street, show, and racecars.
Over 200 cars made their way to Baja Studios' waterfront facility. With over 50 acres situated next to the Pacific Coast, it provided a dramatic backdrop for the show.
As they arrived, attendees were greeted by announcements, lifestyle and food vendors, as well as aftermarket vendors like Klutch Wheels, live music, and a raffle that included high-end goods from the likes of AEM Electronics, TurboSmart, Turbo by Garrett, Supertech, and more.
The family-friendly environment and welcoming atmosphere combined with perfect Baja weather made this an event to remember for all involved. The success of the previous events have only bolstered attendance numbers and excitement - so much so that the 2019 Revolution Ocho event is already locked in for Sept 14th, 2019. Hector Cureno's maroon Civic pounds out a healthy 900-plus whp and has a personal best of 9.3 seconds at 160mph in the quarter mile using a Garrett 67mm turbo. Next on the upgrade list is a jump up to a 72mm snail in search of that elusive 8-sec pass.
Also currently in the 9-sec club is Efrain Grana's DC Integra with a 9.8-second, 140mph pass by way of an 800hp B-series heart.
With over 800hp on tap, Esteban Grana's quickest pass in the 1/8th mile is 6.2 at 120mph. Rather than B or K power, he's opted for an H2B combo as his foundation.
Christian Espinoza's 700hp fifth-gen. isn't far behind with a 6.7-second 1/8th-mile pass at 113mph, with more in store.
A few versions of the latest generation Civic Type R made an appearance.
B-series VTEC-powered exo-skeleton build is an attention-getter on the road, or just sitting still.

Toward the end of the day, sponsor-donated prizes were raffled off to some lucky attendees, including these PCI side skirts and AEM gauge.
