European Cars & Exotics of AutoCon L.A. 2016

The best builds at the show from brands based across the Atlantic Ocean

Apr 26, 2016

AutoCon does not discriminate. If your project car makes people stop in their tracks to stare, and lesser men and women weak in the knees, then you’ve got a place at an AutoCon show. And in LA, at the event series’ 2016 kickoff, the convention center was crammed full of swoon-worthy builds – many from customizers who excel at making over machines that hail from automakers based in Europe.

Ze Germans and Italians would’ve felt right at home at AutoCon LA, what with all the A-game fare, even if some of it was clearly inspired by the Japanese. The Ranz Motorsport 2JZ-powered Mercedes-Benz 280C continues to shock and awe, while everyone seemed taken aback by the matching Spoon Sports-themed Crooks Corsa 911, one a 997 type and the other a 991. The widebody thing shows no signs of slowing, thanks to the likes of RWB and LTMW (so much fender flare-age), but far and away our favorite creation was the Ferrari 458 in the Bulletproof Automotive booth – super-clean, wide and low, a totally ballin’ supercar on multi-piece BBS LMs.

This is just the latest from our continuing coverage of the car show from this past weekend (you can find our other galleries here and here). Get into the Euro and exotics photo album to see still more amazing whips from AutoCon LA 2016.
