USP Motorsports Festival

A Report From The Inaugural Usp Motorsports Open Day.

Based in Coral Springs, FL, USP Motorsports has been making a name for itself in the VAG tuning scene with some impressive drag cars. It also has a well-appointed facility with showroom, workshops and dyno.

Last year, USP decided to hold its Festival of Power & Shine; a shop open day, dyno shoot-out and car show. Despite some seasonal rain, it turned into a laidback Euro event with more than 130 cars in attendance.

Inevitably, the dyno sessions were the most popular, with some big numbers being laid down. Notable runs included a handful of 400+ whp boosted VR6s, but the winner was a B5 Audi S4 on E85 ethanol that put down 545 all-wheel hp, continuing the bi-turbos dominance on the scene.

Aside from the display of horsepower, the next biggest attraction was the barbeque. The grill was fired up to feed the assembled horde all day while a DJ set the musical tone.

As you'd expect, some of South Florida's finest machinery was in attendance, battling for honors in the car show and vying for some decidedly unusual trophies that were put together by USP. They certainly made an interesting change from the plastic tragedies you normally see.

Along with prizes for the best in show, there was a raffle compliments of USP and Mobil 1 to wrap up the event. As the first shop day they'd organized, USP Motorsports seemed to have left people wanting more, so expect it to become an annual event.
