We took our project Audi A3 to its first show, which just so happened to be the Big SoCal Gathering in San Diego, CA. Fortunately, the SoCal Audi chapter was impressed by its progress and offered us front row parking.
Returning to Qualcomm Stadium after last year’s Hollywood adventure was enjoyable. The Hollywood location had a very different vibe so it was great to be back in a large parking lot with ample space for everybody to park, pop the E-Z Up and chill.
Many groups had organized caravans from all over SoCal including LA, the OC, San Fernando Valley, Palmdale and the IE. There were even some groups traveling from AZ, NV and even a posse from Mexico.
SoCal Euro had steadily grown over the years, bringing an estimated 1200 cars this year. The main event remained free for everybody, thanks to event sponsors Nitto, HRE wheels and Revo Technik.
The organizers even took it a step further, providing food trucks for the hungry and even an ATM for the new parts on sale in the vendor area. The combo of caravans, friends and fun atmosphere meant it was a great day to spend looking at great cars.
