The thing about Southern California is that there's some sort of Honda meet just about every weekend. Some are small-like five or six EFs gathering in a Krispy Kreme parking lot at 1:00 in the morning. Some are huge-like the annual Eibach meet, which rivals mega-backed, big-buck car shows.
Last November's America's Tire Co./www.s2ki.com collaboration was neither of these. The midsized meet was set up to promote America's newest Huntington Beach retail store. Members of www.s2ki.com as well as S2000 owners from abroad filled the newly inhabited premises with a good 45-plus show-worthy roadsters. It was a meet worthwhile for those who took time out of their Sunday to show up. Free food, prizes-like sets of Yokohama tires-and a parking lot full of clean AP1s and AP2s, are never a bad thing. ber-rare Mugen hardtops, J's carbon wings, Toda exhausts, Volk rarities and a good couple hundred spectators mulling in and out throughout the day just seemed to epitomize the meaning of what SoCal Honda meets are.
