It’s the blog era. Like public journals emphatically updated in the hopes that followers will latch on in some form of relatable understanding, blogs have found their way into just about every automotive enthusiast’s computer “favorites” list. Some are well connected, organized, and filled with interesting content, others are, well, downright hokey and filled with content they’ve “borrowed” from other established blogs.
The Chronicles is the brainchild of Joey Lee, a freelance writer and photographer for this magazine, as well as others. For the better part of three years he has developed a devout following that spans the U.S. as well as overseas. The site focuses on Lee’s experiences as a freelancer, as well as exclusive coverage of project cars by some very well-known builders. Priding himself on original content, Lee puts so much effort into it he has encouraged a massive increase in traffic, an influx of dedicated fans, and even merchandising endeavors.
To celebrate the blog’s third year, an event was thrown at the Eibach facility in Corona, California, and we stopped by to snap a few pics and enjoy the day. Take a look and don’t forget to log on to The Chronicles at stickydiljoe.com.
