The SoCal car scene has never skipped a beat, and it is still going strong. Although it’s Motion Auto Show’s first event, they’re the same group of people who have brought you this show for the past four years (just under a different company name). Always held at the Long Beach Convention Center, on exhibit were a wide variety of compact cars, luxury sedans, and sport cars.
Some of the finest SoCal cars and models were showcased under one roof with an overflow of cars outside in the beautiful Southern California weather. Inside, the venue held numerous vendors, showcasing new products for different makes of European/Japanese imports. In addition to the cars, everything from wheels to suspension and performance parts was on display at the booths.
Car crews, organizations, and individuals came out and represented in full force. Powerhouse teams such as ACE/High End, Ar-kan, TWC, and Team Hybrid all brought out their meticulously built cars to be judged and compete for the ultimate award: a 3-foot trophy designed by none other than Five Axis auto designer Troy Sumitomo.
Beautiful models are a staple of Motion Auto Show’s heritage. Models were present at vendor booths and with car crews. There was plenty of entertainment for everyone, including a go-go dancing competition, a bikini show, and a dance crew competition.
While everyone was enjoying the event, we had the horrible duty of conducting the Import Tuner Model Search. Yes, once again this year we teamed up with NOS Energy Drink to find new talent for our readers. The NOS booth was filled with newcomers and well-known models posing for photographers and hoping to someday be featured in these pages.
Overall, the event had a great feel. It was a melting pot for different lifestyles intermixed to create an extraordinary culture of assorted likes and backgrounds. With that said, be sure to be at the next event!
