The second coming of the very hip air-cooled Porsche meet called Luftgetkuhlt 2 had us in German sports car heaven this past weekend at Bandito Brothers, a creative arts space in the back end of Culver City, CA. With the Porsche meet came hundreds of cars, well-dressed spectators and on-site cappuccinos and slick screen-printed take always. Everyone from Betim Berisha of BBI Autosport to Magnus Walker, Tanner Foust and Patrick Dempsey showed up for the morning Luftgetkuhlt meet.
Porsche cars were strewn from surrounding lot, within a nearby tunnel and within a main building. A timeline of Porsche air-cooled models were on display: ‘60s Porsche 356, ‘70s Carrera RS, various 911 generations, and racecars that ranged from Porsche 906 (Carrera 6), to hill climb and even the infamous Porsche Kremer 935 Le Mans winner. We can’t wait to attend the next Luftgetkuhlt meet!
