Reminiscent of the old days when the International Auto Salon was on the West Coast, SpoCom’s premiere event on August 5th, 2007 at Long Beach Convention Center was one to remember. Sponsored by Nitto Tires, SpoCom’s focus wasn’t just on the cars and it definitely wasn’t your typical car show. On hand were dozens of manufacturers and for once the focus wasn’t just on the cars or the models. Consumers were able to directly communicate with manufacturers such as AEM, HKS and Skunk2, seeing up close and personal their product as well as speaking with representatives of the manufacturer. Manufacturers’ booths were setup in a fashion that was familiar to those fortunate enough to attend the SEMA show. Amongst all the hot rides, plenty of products were on display and its format was definitely a nice change from your typical automotive lifestyle event.
