While our hopes and dreams of one day seeing the Super GT cars of Japan bless the United States’ soil with their near holy presence once more may be gone, GT LIVE continues to thrive with a weekend motorsports festival that has something for just about everyone. Partnering up with the Redline Time Attack series as well as Formula D Pro-AM, GT LIVE also threw in an eclectic mix of karting, the participant friendly GT SIM race, Auto-X, Tarzan’s lap battle, and more.
The GP paddock area at Miller Motorsports Park’s world class facility was filled with some of the most hardcore time attack machines around; some of which Modified fans would certainly recognize in our upcoming Tuner Shootout issue. At the end of the day it was none other than Tyler McQuarrie in the BC Racing / C-West S2000 setting the fastest overall time of the day for Redline, while Jeff Jones in a 1JZ powered s13 hatch took top honors in the FD Pro-AM competition.
Stay tuned to an upcoming issue of Modified to see and hear more about GT LIVE 6 from inside and out – you won’t find better coverage anywhere else!
