The largest Subaru event in the continental U.S. once again took over the small rural town of Stafford, Connecticut, for this year’s Wicked Big Meet festival. The seventh annual event ushered in an astonishing 2,900 Subaru lovers in 1,600 cars at the Stafford Motor Speedway. It was not uncommon for groups as big as 25 cars to show up traveling from many states away. This event wasn’t just for the diehard performance car fanatic; it was an event for the entire family.
With so many Subarus in attendance, the car show was nothing short of stunning with a great deal of diversity among the cars that entered. The car show isn’t the only thing going on at the event, though. A NASA Northeast–sponsored high-performance driving experience was on hand, an exhaust competition blew people’s ear drums, and a charity car smash and an exhilarating rallycross demo made for an action-packed day. In addition to these activities, more than 50 performance shops lined the grounds showcasing new products, huge parts sales, and one-on-one question-and-answer sessions. Each sponsor held raffles for various parts, services, and discounts giving participants plenty of amazing stuff to go home with.
Wicked Big Meet is an event that meshes all types of Subaru enthusiasts together, whether their interests lie in hard-core performance, exterior modifications, rally, track, or even daily driving. This event has something for everyone, and if you’re looking to attend next year’s show, be sure to check out WickedBigMeet.com for more information.
