Toyo Tires X Super Street ‘16 Calendar Launch – Southern California

Tuner community comes out in droves to meet the Toyo Girls, grab a calendar, and check out some sick cars.

After stops in Miami, Fla. and Honolulu, Hawaii, the Toyo Tires X Super Street 2016 calendar launch tour ended in Costa Mesa, Calif., where the occasion was marked with a meet. Like last year’s calendar commemoration, Boden Autohaus next to the John Wayne Airport hosted the event, and the entire foursome of ‘16 Toyo Girls – Tawnie Jaclyn, Jessica Colorado, Melissa LaBak, and Lauren York – was on hand to pass out calendars and autographs.

It was eclectic mix of whips filling the parking lot and lining the streets around the shop, repping brands from Europe (normal fare for Boden Autohaus), Japan, and the good ol’ US of A. While it seemed like attendee numbers swelled past what we had in 2015, it was hard to tell with everyone coming and going as they pleased. One thing that was unmistakably different from version one of this event were the cops cruising the meet; last year they steered clear until nearly the end of the gathering, but this year they were visible and numerous right from the start. Citations were issued to some, but luckily know one got hauled off to the slammer (as far as we know).
