When it comes to events in the Midwest, Tuner Galleria (TG) is becoming one of the most premier shows among enthusiasts. For the last six years, TG has partnered with World of Wheels and Autorama to produce one of the biggest weekends for car guys. The collaboration means there aren’t just sweet Japanese cars and Euros to check out, but the entire Donald E. Stephens Convention Center is filled with hot rods, rat rods, bikes and more. It’s a small taste of heaven if you dig all types of cars.
But of course, we’re only there for the meat and potatoes, showing you the best rides of what Tuner Galleria has to offer. We’ve compiled over 100 photos to show you what you missed. Here are our top cars from the show:
Two years in the making, this Z33 blew us away from its SR-swap, incredible attention to detail, carbon aero, 12-point cage, chassis-mounted wing, custom fuel setup and much more. We’ll have some more photos of this beast before it makes its first shakedown run next month.
It’s not everyday a Volkswagen catches our eye, but this home-built Corrado stopped us in our tracks. Notice no sponsors are plastered on the windows; the VW was built in a garage, an assembly that includes a 3.2L R32 engine swap, shaved engine bay, full repaint, custom BBS wheels and more. Mad props to the owner!
Okay, TF Works is in here twice but it’s because they simply brought the heat at Tuner Galleria. This is David Lee’s, the co-owner of TF Works, personal S13 project car that he’s owned since he was in school. It’s been with him for over a decade, has taught him how to wrench on cars and even drift. No one has seen the 500+horsepower S13 in years but it made one helluva a comeback at TG!
