2005 Consumer Electronics Show

Las Vegas Convention Center Las Vegas, NV January 6-9, 2005

Walking through the North Hall (specializing in car audio) of the Convention Center, you can't help but intently gaze from side to side slowly to take in the myriad of new gadgets and gear that become the must-haves for any diehard enthusiast's ride. Competing for the consumer's attention is the first task, and then the sensory overload turns into careful review of the phenomenal new products that manufacturers' dream up especially for this yearly extravaganza.

This year's CES show really showed a huge jump in the technology gap as more and more people push the threshold in mechanical design and innovations. Everything mainstream has shifted to a digital focus, with emphasis on perfection and clarity.

Manufacturers clearly have put in hours of hard work into design resulting in unthinkable items that fit in the palm of your hand. The car audio industry has gone above and beyond; nowhere is this more obvious than in satellite technology, which will definitely improve the daily commute by leaps and bounds. Again, through innovation and design some of clearest sounding products can be easily installed into your door panels. Be sure to check out Modified's April issue to see what you should be getting your hands on in 2005.
