Formula D Atlanta, Georgia - The Dirty Dirty

Scene: Formula D: Round 2; Road To The Championship—Atlanta, GA

Hallelujah! Formula D is back at it again and kicking off Round 2 in the Dirty South with a bang! Fact is, if you’ve never been to a Formula D in Atlanta, then believe us, you’re missing out. Not only has Round 2 consecutively held the record for the largest attendance outside of the California routes, but has also been known as one of the most entertaining tracks throughout the entire FD circuit not only from a driver standpoint, but a spectator perspective as well. With a challenging course, a plethora of open, viewable spectating spaces and a massive vendor village accompanied by Fatlace’s Slammed Society Show, attendees are almost guaranteed the ultimate FD experience along with a fun-filled afternoon of friends, family and maybe even a few adult beverages.

Starting with a massive keyhole being offered at turn 2, contestants are forced to plow uphill to successfully link turns 3 and 4 and finish out the course—though, as a bit of heavy southern showers flew into the mix, the competition quickly became utterly unpredictable, leaving the podium slots entirely up for grabs as even some of the leagues most talented drivers found themselves struggling to maintain composure on the slick course. Yet—after a grueling day of battle, former champion Daigo Saito was able to adapt to the deficient conditions and overcome contending drivers Darren McNamara and Vaughn Gittin Jr. in the final four. The competition is just heating up and we could not be more excited. See you in Palm Beach for Round 3 folks!
