Platte Forme AG, from Alhambra, CA, has over a decade of experience in racing, tracking, and aftermarket modifications of European makes. Platte Forme brought one of two Z4 Ms to the GP. It was was equipped with a 3.2L S54 straight-six with ESS Tuning VT2-525 supercharger kit, Euro headers, and OEM cats.
Toan Nguyen, Platte Forme AG owner said, “Currently on the dyno we are only putting out around 330hp at 6000rpm. After that it is just dropping off. We think it’s a belt slip issue, the belt stinks pretty bad. We’re going to grab a belt right now and get it running properly. This is a daily driver that is tracked on the weekends.”
After having some technical issues, Platte Forme’s final power numbers came in at 451hp and 315 lb-ft of torque – due to technical difficulty we were unable to include a dyno chart. The team at Platte finished strong in the road course, staying very competitive against the other Z car, albeit an off coming through Street's quick right/left within the back straight.
