Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, California’s newest automotive playground, recently hosted Raceline USA’s multi-faceted open track day. After a successful 2011, organizer Elton Lo set out to continue the momentum with an event for all driver types, from beginner to advanced status, in a safe and positive environment. Additionally, this event served as one of the stops toward a position at the Super Lap Battle finals in November for the best of the best.
Finally, at the end of the day was the Honda Tuning Magazine R Challenge (HTMR) that pitted any and all “R” chassis vehicles against one another in a heated four-lap battle. Comprised of almost all Integra Type Rs, the Streetlightz Civic Type R was also on hand to put up a fight.
Raceline plans on throwing more events for the 2012 season that will include more road courses, and of course the HTMR Challenge will rage on. Interested in participating in an open track day but don’t know how to go about it? It’s simple: Keep tabs on upcoming events via Raceline’s website and join in on the fun.
