Once again Vision Entertainment brought the infamous Hot Import Daze event to Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. Hosted as an outside show during the day, Hot Import Daze brought out the baddest rides and hottest models the state of California had to offer. The stadium parking lot was packed with imports, euros and even several sport compact domestics. Chevrolet had a plethora of their new Cobalts on display and ready to test drive out on the autocross track. The European crowd was well represented with high-end BMWs, Mercedes Benzes and Audis sporting their share of tuning products. Once again clean JDM Hondas and Acuras owned the scene with several 240SXs being thrown in the mix. Carbon fiber goods went beyond hoods and trunks to fenders and bumpers. Widebody is definitely becoming the craze as many flared and rolled examples were on-hand to testify. Wicked paint jobs came as no surprise, but different textures and bright shades of pink are also filling the exhibition areas at car shows. Entertainment went on for hours with all the Hot Import Daze-provided entertainment, but no one could resist stopping at the Modified Model Lounge. With beautiful women like Jeri Lee and Pam Rodriguez, who didn’t have time to stand in line for autographs and pictures? Best of all, Joyce Lex was out to ask, “Are you MAC enough?” making the climbing temperatures at Qualcomm Stadium just a few degrees hotter.
