For drifting participants and fans alike, the inevitable hatred of tires combined with the immeasurable love of 90+mph entries together formed what turned out to be a perfect weekend at the track for automotive enthusiasts from Arizona and the entire southwest. Club Racing Arizona teamed up with TrialByFire to put on a combined weekend of HPDE, Time Trials/Time Attack, NASA Race Groups, and drifting that catered to nearly everyone in attendance.

Taking advantage of sunny skies and 70 degree temperatures, the weekend event went on without a hitch, as race cars, street cars, and everything in between was found at PIR. In the pits fans and spectators were found serving up hotdogs and hamburgers for all in what also combined to be a spring BBQ event for many local car clubs and organizations.

Stay tuned to Modified.com for additional coverage of increasing numbers of grassroots style events such as this one, as we continue to strive towards catering to all performance minded sport compact and import enthusiasts!
