SEMA 2015 Sneak Peek

What happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas

For many of us, SEMA is the Superbowl, the Olympics, the Kumite of car shows. It’s where legendary builders are made and where our livers are put to the test. For the newcomers, SEMA stands for Specialty Equipment Market Association, and can leave a person overwhelmed. Besides the new parts, educational seminars, special events, you’ll also have the raddest cars on display. Of course, there will be some “questionable” cars that slip through the cracks. More on that later.

We were limited to the time we had on the first day (which is really just a setup day and not open to the regular media), but it’s no surprise that the widebody trend is still alive and kicking. Yes, the Rocket Bunny, Liberty Walk, and RWB continue to dominate. Kei Miura’s latest hit is the Boss Bunny Nissan S14 Boss conversion; our friend Jon Sibal recently finished his amazing RWB Porsche 964. Flared fenders were everywhere, but rest assured there are plenty of solid builds that still opted out of the widebody route.

All the editors will be Instagramming some cool stuff throughout the week. Follow @duspeed, @jofeltolosa, @editorbobdc5, and @mykalfakerich for live coverage! However, we suspect Sam Du might be busy with the platoon of strippers in his suite. Anything in particular you guys want us to see? Comment and stay tuned!
