Back in October of last year, for the 16th time, a massive group of hardcore Integra Type R owners, along with some of their non-ITR, circuit-savvy friends, headed to Virginia International Raceway (VIR) for two days of track adventures and assorted shenanigans.
More than your weekend track day, this event has one of the most loyal fan bases around. Every year die-hard Honda guys and girls talk about the upcoming event for months as the big day draws closer, and the organization and preparation never wavers. The result is a smooth-running event that includes, along with the track activity, a banquet, and sends everyone home smiling and counting down the days until the next Expo comes around.
Though this event took place back in October, the images provided by triggerman Al Norris were lost, but eventually found their way to us and were just too good not to share. Plus, this event doesn’t get nearly enough coverage or credit for bringing together Honda enthusiasts from all over the country, and if they have it their way, this whole thing will continue for years to come.
Note: This year’s event will run in conjunction with NSXPO at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis. Don’t think that you can’t join in on the fun, as the group is open to new participants. So what are you waiting for? Check them out at itrca.com.
A beautiful scene, as dozens of ITRs take to the track for a photo op
The one that got away – the elusive Milano red ITR that, unfortunately, was never a color option in the U.S.
Not a sunroof in sight. Not even on this second-gen. TSX – granted, this one is slightly modified compared to your neighbor’s daily commuter.
No frills, this ITR is strictly business
Non-ITR owners were welcome and this EM1 jumped at the chance to pick up some track time.
Spoon-themed ITR on the move
Nice to see an ITR sedan putting in work during ITR Expo 16
