Like a lot of people, we’ve been smitten like a kitten that a Toyota Mark 4 Supra will be competing in the most elite professional drifting series on the globe, Formula DRIFT. We watched the RAD Industries JZA80 get built and then cut its teeth in the series’ Pro2 championship en route to driver RAD Dan Burkett earning his Pro license for 2017. And for the 2016 SEMA Show, in a stroke of marketing brilliance the team has partnered with HPS Performance Products and Tamiya to offer a special giveaway for attendees of the aftermarket industry trade show.
The HPS x RAD giveaway project is a 1/10th-scale remote controlled (RC) replica of Burkett’s Supra in 2016 livery. Built by Mark Santa Ines, the RC sports car is built on a Tamiya Toyota Supra TT-02D Drift Spec Chassis and bedazzled in Tamiya PS polycarbonate paint finishes. The winner will also receive a Tamiya EXPEC GT-1 2.4G radio control system to operate the micro machine.
To win the Supra, contestants need to first follow HPS Performance Products on Instagram (IG) and then be at the show, making sure to stop by the HPS booth in the Central Hall (booth no. 201762) to snap a photo of the JZA80 in mini on display. Post the photo to your IG, tagging the post with #hpsperformance, and you are automatically entered to win one of just a couple cars that will be up for grabs.
Winners will be announced November 4, and if you’re at SEMA you don’t want to miss this opportunity. The Supra even rocks a downsized and chrome-ified version of the classic Super Street “SS” sticker (we heart RAD)! So snap to it!
