Guy Drives RC Car Wins Really Cool CarAs if it couldn't get any better, one lucky RC nut, David Jun, won the XMODS/Super Street NSX after coming in First Place at the 2004 XRL National Tournament, where the Finals took place at the NOPI Nationals. After three months of competition across the country, David edged out 15 other contestants and proved that he has the skills to pay the bills. It's too bad he'll still be playing Dungeons and Dragons and living with his parents long after his 40th birthday. You can read more about the buildup of the NSX by logging onto www.superstreetonline.com. Pick up your own XMODS version by checking out www.xmodsrc.com.
And The Award For Biggest Kiss Ass Goes To...Greg Lilly, who came through with the West Leg and did the unimaginable by sticking the most creative Tour sticker we've seen to date on his STi. Basically, he created an entire map from the west to the east, along with metal pieces, which represented the Tour and Hurricane Ivan. At every stop he adjusted the pieces, and since Ivan never crossed paths with our caravan, the ending saw all of us at NOPI safely and Ivan out of sight. For that, Greg gets an air high-five!
Extra Special Shoutout Goes Out To...Rak Patel and his company, Myne Wear (www.mynwear.com) for coming up with these Tour jerseys for the staff to wear throughout the Tour and NOPI. Though they now reek of odors more putrid than a combination of horse dung, body odor, and halitosis, the jerseys made for nice summer attire throughout the East's heat and humidity.
