Can you say packed? We couldn't even fit our rental car in the parking lot because there were so many people waiting to buy Tour shirts and get their free bags stuffed with goodies from our sponsors. LA Extreme provided lunch for everybody that showed up and waited patiently for us. Yamz manned the back of the Penske sweating like a lunatic while I ducked out like a total ranker and signed some shirts for our people. We raffled off a set of wheels from Wheels Next, hung out for a couple hours, and directed our Tour to Atlanta. Construction made it nearly impossible to keep all the cars together so we did our best get to the front of the pack. Out of nowhere a giant storm rolled in and I was drenched from shooting out the window. The slick asphalt led to accidents, which forced us to sit in hours of stupid traffic. Finally, we reached our destination and met up with the North and South legs.

There I am, sitting in Dallas stop-and-go traffic, in route to the pre-party at Enkei wheels and contemplating how bad my life sucks. In front of me is a trailer carrying my RX-7 with a blown apex seal. My boosted Integra is blowing out smoke too.
The Tour leaves from Dallas and my car is still smoking. I'm having flashbacks to last year, when my fuel pump went out, leaving my car stranded. This year was no different. Boom! It's funny how a Crower rod still looks good, even sticking out of my block. The tour stops, Rikdaddy instantly arrives to evaluate the damage. By the way, ladies, I got his number and you could have it too for a small fee.
We party hard that night at Hooters, Super Street pays my hotel bill, my wife wins a die-cast VW, my friend wins a TV, and ton of pics were taken of the RX-7. This trip was bitchin'.
Thanks to the Super Street Tour I made new friends. It's crazy how complete strangers have a bond through cars. It's true what my friend Ron always preaches, "It's not so much the cars, as it is the people you meet on the journey." I don't know about the North and South legs, but there's no way they could be better than the West leg.
There's always next year though, right? My Integra has to make it. And who knows, Ron's dream might come true too, Maria might ride with him in his new Mercedes Benz CLS55 AMG on Tour. Thank you, Super Street, for making three days of otherwise hell wonderful.
By the time we arrived in Atlanta, I could not even remember most of the party at Hard Rock Caf except that it kicked ass.

Why did you come this year? It wasn't too hard to decide to go this year-three months of sleep deprivation was all it took to have my cars ready to make the tour, but there's no way I would miss it.
Hey, Chimpy, there's hope for you yet.
"What a great week. My big toe-thumb surgery was a success and I won a free set of wheels."
