Jesse Sabater wins Best of Show with Nissan GT-R
Toshiki Yoshioka's Formula D spec Subaru BRZ showcased
Now in its second year, Praxis Productions pulls off another great Auto Gallery show. Even though Auto Gallery is one of the last meetings of the so called "show season" with many of the cars displayed already pictured at previous events, it's still one of our favorites. Why? For one, it's held in the beautiful Huntington Beach, California, which means awesome weather and ocean air. Secondly, all proceeds are donated to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles Liver Unit.
Just like any car show, awards were given out for different categories such as Best VIP and Best Acura. Jesse Sabater with the wild custom widebody Nissan GT-R managed to win the elusive Best of Show along with a first place for Track Ready - he also won at Nisei Showoff in Los Angeles, CA. "It was a very well organized show and good quality cars showed up. I like how there was two sets of judges. One judge for best makes and models, the other judge for performance," says Sabater.
There weren't only car show winners though. Miss Auto Gallery and even a twerking contest (SMH) took place to the viewing pleasure of all males involved. On the main stage was our good friend and the main emcee, Big Mike partnered with his beautiful co-host Mimi Le. Each kept the crowd hyped as well as giving away raffle prizes. "Auto Gallery had beautiful weather, sold out car sports, and a great crowd. I had a ton of fun hosting and emceeing the event and look forward to doing it again next year," says Big Mike. "I thought the cars were very diverse. The event had an eclectic gathering, ranging from Ferraris and Lamborghinis to Hondas and Acuras, VIP builds, and track-inspired cars." Even Ms. Super Street 2013 Sandra Wong stopped by and supported the show.
The event included a limited model lounge featuring some local and out of state hotties alongside the standard creepy photographers. Upon entering the gates Teddy Timoteo's impeccable 1999 Honda Civic greeted you. Timoteo tells us he's changing up the look very soon and is striving for that front cover feature.
We're sure by now you've seen tons of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions with the common Voltex aero, but this red Evo X was one of our favorites from the show. Wheel company Avant Garde brought out Toshiki Yoshioka's Formula D prepped Subaru BRZ on F130 wheels.
Quite frankly, other car shows should take note to how Auto Gallery is put together. Location is great, quality of cars is on point, girls are abundant, vendors are present and at the same time it's giving back to the community. Thanks again Auto Gallery 2013 staff for having us. We're looking forward to next year's event - just make sure to keep it next to the beach!
