Little Tokyo CA - Import Showoff

A long, long, long time ago, Nisei Week in Little Tokyo was the biggest event in Los Angeles in August. We've heard tales about it. How all the cool kids would cruise up and down the street in their import rides. This was way back when. Some time ago, the powers that be banned cruising during the Nisei Week Carnival. This was a shot in the foot for the Japanese cultural event, as it gave the young generation no reason to attend. In recent years, Nisei week has become a shell of what it used to be. We're getting depressed just thinking about it.

But. But, Ken Miyoshi and the Import Showoff staff would have none of it. They decided to bring the young blood and the hot cars back to Nisei Week by staging an Import Showoff. We were eager to see the revival, and both Jonny and RJ came back with the photos to prove that the kids are all right and back in Little Tokyo.
