The other, smaller car is by Takara/Konami, and it's called a Digi-Q. The Digi-Q is the world's smallest mass-produced, noncorded, full-function, remote-controlled car. Measuring in at a tiny 47mm, these little dynamos are also the fastest of the group. Controlled by infrared, these cars are a riot. Fully proportional steering and throttle make them very controllable. And the built-in rechargeable battery lets these little boogers run for up to 15 minutes on a 10-minute charge.
Whichever way you decide to go, these toy cars are perfect for terrorizing your cat, dog, or girlfriend or just having some tabletop drifting competitions. Available only in Japan for now, they are a little hard to come by-unless you are an eBay addict or have an editor who, while traveling to Japan twice a month, can sneak a couple in his bag for the return trip. (Hint, hint.)
