2005 Tuner Bash in South Padre Island - News & Event Coverage

I've never been to Spring Break. There, I said it. My years in college offered the e-ticket ride. It was there for the taking equipped with all the ingredients included in one neat, easy-to-pour package. My desire to actually earn my own money weaned me from the chance--the opportunity to actually partake in such a bastion of sin and seduction. Heck, everyone went. Everyone. Destinations differed. From Puerto Vallarta to South Beach. The point is, everyone went where it was hot. Hot as in hot weather. Hot weather leads to, well...we'll let the pictures substitute for any haphazard description I can conjure up.

As luck may have it, I got a chance to go, albeit four years later. We might get paid with CDs and rocks, but working at Super Street does have its perks. One such is the Tuner Bash held every year, right around, you guessed it, Spring Break. Such a smart one you are. Yoda-talk aside, this year's event was held at a more central location so that more of our readers and non-readers could attend. Yeah. I like that. But that's not the truth.

We got banned from Daytona Beach--forever. But hey, everything happens for a reason. You won't hear any complaints from me. South Padre Island is the new place to be. It was that damn fun. Beaches on both sides of the island. In fact, the show was such a smashing success that we have decided to expand and extend the Tuner Bash phenomenon into the Summer. Don't believe us? Despite Ro-Dog's plea to have April Fool's day for the entire month of April, his idea got shot down like Spock at a Jedi convention. It's true.
