Slipstream and Formula D Event - Slippery When Wet

It may seem like we live the luxurious life because we get to travel all the time. But not so much if you see some of the dumps Primedia puts us up in. So when we had a chance to tag along with the Slipstream guys to the Cayman Islands and Puerto Rico, we said hell yeah with no questions asked. Seriously. We barely had an itinerary when we got to LAX. Buthey, you only live once.

Cayman Islands
With guest appearances from Kenny Tran and Steph Papadakis, the Texaco Cayman Islands International Auto Show was on track to be the biggest automotive event ever to hit the island. But who would have thought a few days of rain would flood the venue, causing a cancellation? No worries though, because we're innovative and can always come up with something to do, legal or not. We were in the Grand Caymans, after all. How could we not set up an off-shore account to stash our cool $50 paychecks? When the rain died down, we headed down to Tony's Toys, which does everything from importing Skylines from Japan to building full-on racecars to slanging Super Street magazines. Can't be mad at that. Then it was off to some industrial park where the True JDM Island Fanatiks crew and a bunch of other locals joined us to have a mini car show and to watch Steph give some drift demos. As the night grew closer, we trekked to what seemed like a deserted road in the jungle for some street racing, old school style. Oh, and the cops didn't sweat us one bit while we were there. Of course, we had to hit the local clubs like O Bar. And our only souvenir was some rare island illness that lasted for over a month.
