Puerto Rico
What can we say except that we brought the rain with us again? Three full days of motorsports on an island known for its beautiful big bootied women is good, but the transvestite prostitutes were all bad. We'd write a reggaeton-style song about it, but we don't nearly roll with enough bling or hot mamacitas. The Furious Wheels Drag & Drift Edition event was the first time that Puerto Rico has seen a live drifting event. Sure, they're a force to be reckoned with down the 1320 drag strip, but the fans have yet to devour a lunch combo of tire rubber, dirt, and random debris being kicked off the rear wheels of an SR20-powered 240SX. With the likes of Alex Pfeifer, Ben Schwartz, Casper Canul, and Chris Forsberg on hand, spectators were lining up to get their first look at the stunt-like drift show from Formula D. As with any event like this, cars start having problems. But ex-Primedian Gary Castillo and the Red Star Racing staff were on hand to get the cars back into running order. We don't bet, except on the Washington Generals, but we're willing to throw down some major coin that this isn't the last time drifting is going to hit Puerto Rico.
