PRIMEDIA INTRODUCES THE EVOLUTION OF TIME ATTACK EVENTS;
THE SUPER LAP BATTLE,

Primedia's International Automotive Group is excited to announce to evolution of time attack events with the formation of the Super Lap Battle series presented by Super Street, Modified, Import Tuner, eurotuner and Siphon magazines. The Super Lap Battle series will be taking the place of the existing Time Attack series format and event dates. This formation allows the growth of this time trial based event series to have increased media coverage and participation of tuners both domestically as well as internationally.

Super Lap Battle at its essence is very simple; it is you versus the clock. It is not drifting, its not wheel-to-wheel racing and for sure it's not for all-show and no-go cars. Look for our 2007 Super Lap Battle Series to showcase the fastest cars from US tuners as well as the best from Japan and Europe.

Because you guys are so money and you don't even know it we've decided to throw out some incentives for 2007. At our August Road Atlanta event the team that gets the fastest time of the weekend will get their transportation to our Finals in California paid for! On top of this we're also going to give away a little prize money. For any team that beats a Buttonwillow class record at our November 7th Finals we'll give them $1,000.00 and for the fastest team that beats Sun Auto's Buttonwillow overall record of 1:48.906 we'll give them $2,500.00. So what do you have to do to win this money besides beat some very fast lap times? All you need to do is be in the top 3 Unlimited cars or top 3 Limited/Street cars at one of our Super Lap Battle/NASA TT qualifying rounds to get invited into the Finals at Buttonwillow, once your at the Final's you'll be running with the big boys for some pocket change. In addition to our four qualifying rounds we are partnering with NASA's Time Trial Series to offer at select NASA events a chance for the two fastest cars at each event to also get an invite to our Final rounds.
